MySQL is command line tool. Put there are some pretty slick GUI interfaces
for it. There is a web interface called Webmin (have to download the MySQL
module for it you can get all of that from www.webmin.com ). That one can
pretty much do everything.
There are also a couple for graphical interfaces for KDE. I think the best
one is Kmysql.
Good Luck

Thanx Frank
I downloaded MySQL the other day but at first glance it didn't seem to have any kinda of GUI interface I could use for designing the file layout, which kinda put me off.
Hmm freshmeat.. now that'd be interesting:)

I used mySQL awhile ago, just learning abit about DBI/SQL and it was nice. You do have to buy it, if you use it for commerical usage, but personal non-profit, non-commerical use should be free. I downloaded it free of their site and I think it comes with SuSE 6.3. There is also one called mSQL (miniSQL??) that is supose to be a GPL database for Unix.
I dare you to type "SQL" into http://www.freshmeat.net : )
