All,
There was a warning that appeared in Thunderbird 68 explaining that Enigmail will not work in Thunderbird 78, but that gpg would take its place. However, there seem to be issues with the gpg implementation. I rely on enigmail religiously -- what are we doing to address this?
a. stick with 68 as long as possible?
b. patch/fix enigmail or gqg so one or the other works as enigmail does now?
Option b is unrealistic. The only way forward is implementing required features in TB, what Mozilla is already (slowly) doing.
I'd stick with 68 until the new implementation works with gpg smartcards, like Yubikey, which I'm using.
