How can I write large, (eg 4.4 GB) files onto DVD? Can I use k3b for that? File system does not not need to be iso9660. TIA, IG
Have you tried UDF instead of iso9660. UDF is a newer filesystem than iso9660, but it has still been around for a while. I know we use UDF even on CDs because the filename max. for iso9660 is too small. FYI: IIRC Win98 and newer can read UDF. Win95 cannot. Not sure how long the linux kernel has had UDF support.
