How does one install something thru YAST?
So many ways describing this: https://opensuse-guide.org/installpackage.php https://en.opensuse.org/YaST_Software_Management https://en.opensuse.org/SDB:How_do_you_install_software https://doc.opensuse.org/documentation/leap/startup/html/book.opensuse.start... https://www.suse.com/documentation/sles-12/book_sle_deployment/data/sec_y2_s...
Is there a list, and if so, how do I access it?

I'm used to Synaptic, which provides a list of everything in the repo and you can then select it and apply the install of all selections. If there is no list, how do you know what's available?
You can select as much or as little as you wish using checkboxes and/or search strings and/or different looks on the different available tabs. -- Evolution as taught in public schools is religion, not science.
