Is there a way of hiding the dotfiles all together? My users are a bit stupid, and keep wanting to enter those folders. And as they are linuxspecific (and most often system files) i dont want them tampered with. They keep viewing hidden files on their own workstations. so setting the view hidden wont work.
I dont want them to be seen at all in listings. Is there a way to make that happen?
I haven't tried it myself, but "veto files" perhaps? Something like
veto files = /.*/
could be worth a try
Hmm. Semi works.. The directory is hidden, but i cant cd into it. Not a too bad thing, but a little cumbersome as i as admin sometimes need to access those folders from a windows box. But well.. i can always fire ssh up :) Thanks for the tip. -- /Rikard ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Rikard Johnels email : rikjoh@norweb.se Web : http://www.rikjoh.com Mob : +46 735 05 51 01 ------------------------ Public PGP fingerprint ---------------------------- < 15 28 DF 78 67 98 B2 16 1F D3 FD C5 59 D4 B6 78 46 1C EE 56 >
