Over the years (decades), I done a lot of things with Unix/Linux, but I don't recall ever having a need to run a service in 3, that I couldn't run in 5.
Then look again: gpm :-)
Can't say I've ever knowingly used it. Does it work with 12.2 / systemd?
If not, has it been bugzilla'd.
Greg Hi Since my recent foray into twin (console based DE) which uses gpm it works fine with systemd and openSUSE 12.2 in a VT irrespective of runlevel.
