Get more memory. I have 128MB and it is slow, not s-l-o-w. Win98 requires 190MB virtual memory just to boot. I am tempted to wipe Win98 and replace it with Win95. I found that 40MB for VMware and the rest for Linux was faster than a 50/50 split. If I shutdown everything I can, I can free up almost 40MB. People w/ 256MB physical memory report that the guest OS runs at almost full speed.
So long as you're looking to swap 95 for 98, I'd recommend that you look here: http://www.98lite.net. I've used this product under VMWare for months (I even registered and donated to get 98Pro/micro), and I am *quite* pleased with the results. If you have to run Windows, you might as well hack at it and have fun ;) -- -=|JP|=- Jon Pennington | Atipa Linux Solutions -o) jpennington@atipa.com | Kansas City, MO /\\ 816-241-2641 x107 | http://www.atipa.com _\_V -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
