I think you should write a bugzilla precisely on that. Or two: one for the partitioner, about the colors, and another, a general enhancement request that they take into consideration the needs of the visually impaired. Perhaps they could create a configuration file so that if it exists applications use a diferent scheme easier on sight.
If you just complain here, they will not see it.
Another thing, it is generally a good idea to at least track the factory list, because the developer of the new partitioner asked there for the application to be tested. If those that tested it (I did) didn't find and report back the problems, well, that's what you get on the final product.

Subject: [opensuse-factory] New YaST partitioner in Factory
Even if you don't install factory, there was a "mockup" where you could see what was intended:

There were so many bugs that it got pushed to the back, besides that, you have to reinstall with a cd or dvd, which takes lots of time to download, and with burner-access problems i like to update right away..... Sometimes it is just too much... This is not a very lucky release, RC1 looked like an Alpha3... But: There will be other releases, and i heared that the cycle is going to be 9 months, which will give an extra 3 months to test and debug. Personaly, i realy think it was certainly needed for this one.. Regarding all the problems, it hasn't even become that bad.. -- Enjoy your time around, Oddball (M9.) (Now or never...)
