What version of windowing best resembles Windows - KDE or Gnome.
I develop Windows software for a living (for the past 23 years), and use Linux on my personal machines at home (4, plus some VMs). so I have some experience with both. IMHO, KDE more closely resembles the Windows GUI, but neither of them is exactly the same. Both offer options that can help make them more Windows-like, if that's what you're after. Vista is indeed a disaster. I have it installed on a VirtualBox v1.6 VM, and my wife uses it on her computer (it came with it installed). It's a shame they didn't implement UAC the way it's done with YaST2. But then, that would have been too "not invented here" for Microsoft. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
