Never mind. I burned another disk and it works fine now. Not sure how I got 10.2 installed off the 1st disk if it was bad, but all is well now.
Should a DVD burned from the on-line ISO image pass the Media Check function in YaST?
I verified the MD5 checksum of the downloaded .iso file, but the disc (from which I successfully installed 10.2) now does not pass the Media Check when run from that installed system. It fails within the first few percent of the start.
A disk created from an ISO file should pass the media check. If the ISO file passes the md5sum test, the problem is with the disk creation. This could be due to either the blank media or problems with the drive. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
