Yes, I was already aware of that, but your statement about networking not being available did not mention that specific situation, so I took the more general meaning, which indeed makes your statement wrong, as networking was around before then.
I said that networking wasn't available to them then. Perhaps I should have written that emphasising the THEM or the the THEN in that clause.
