Since I've been out of the mainframe world for about 13 years, what happened to the mainframe style "full screen" text editors being standard in Linux. Like, XEDIT, KEDIT, ISPF.
They were never ported. OS/2 or VisualAge came with LPEX, which was very good. I think it's in WebSphere now.
LPEX was a development based on EPM, which came with OS/2. LPEX was most probably ported to Linux, but afaik, it's not freely available, probably only with websphere or z/os. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (2.4°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - free DNS hosting, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
