I messed up ,in my eagerness to install gui version of mplayer I loaded xfree86's (x binaries) ,now the suse linux 9.1 boots into x windows .
There's no such thing. It's either 'X', or 'X system' I take it you get FVWM or OLWM as windowmanager now.
I want to go back to starting with kde .
Revert the changes, i.e. take off the offending binaries and re-install the SuSE X rpms, or make a new ~/.xinitrc with 'exec startkde' as last line. Theo -- Theo v.
