What do I do for inputs in Kmix, do I need kmix?
KMix is what I use.
Still can't find where to shut off the Mic Boost, it has to go....
I just lowered the slider. When it is at the bottom there is no boost.
Tried checking amixer from cmd line, no Mic Boost or anything
similar.
With the 'Capture' at min setting the audio is still overdriven, thats why I am looking for the 'boost', etc. It looks like I have an oddball mixer that may not be fully supported, it's not a new computer Dell Dimension C521.
I have Mic boost as a slider with 4 levels (this depends on audio hardware). You should look into Mixer >> Settings >> Configure channels . It must be somewhere. It is also possible that card (chip) is not recognized properly, so it keeps mic boost on and there is no control over it.
Tnx, Mike.
