I disagree. It may lack some of the latest functionality, but it's by no means obsolete. (my desktop still on openSUSE 10.3 - I do have some issues with openOffice interoperability now, but that's all).
I have a server in the rack room that is still running 10.2 and I have no plans to upgrade it any time soon. But a desktop using 10.anything is a little masochistic if you ask me. Its not the OS that is obsolete its the Desktop environment and applications.
