All I'd say is the Epson Photo R220 here, my daughter's, my son's, and 4 down at work are flawless, all on SuSE9.3...
BUT...don't use after-market inks in them. My daughter's is only a couple months new, and when she ran out last week, she bought a "house brand" at an office supply in Virginia. It severely clogged the head, but fortunately they gave her back the money, and she bought Epson ink. It took nearly half the new inks just cleaning the head...but happily it DID clean, and all is now well. I think I paid $85 US at a discount house while there on vacation...
The 4 at work were replacements of HP units, simply because we needed better resolution...so I agree with your comment about the HP poor quality.

Hi. Can anyone recommend a HP printer which does well with photo paper on SuSE 10.0 for around Euros 100? Both the Epson's I bought c70 and c80 have bocked up print heads/leaking ink and are a mess. I believe that HP has a better system but according to linuxprinting.org are of inferior quality.
Any advice on or off list would be most appreciated. Steve.
Hi Tom. Hi everyone. I did use third party ink so that's more than likely the problem. Over here n Europe you may as well go out and buy a new printer than buy genuine Epson ink refills. That's the problem. -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com
