: I've changed the 'homepage' to another website, and still it starts up with the opensuse irl in the location bar(?). I've cleared the history. I've checked a hundred times all my settings in konqueror and nowhere can I find a place to stop/delete/make it go away.
How the heck do I get it to stop this? It's driving me nuts!
settings -> save view profile.
Hi Benji,
I looked at that and clicked on 'save' for 'web browsing', then deleted the opensuse.org url in the history and closed Konqueror. I then opened it again, and it's still there doing the same thing. The save view profile thing isn't very clear what it's supposed to do or how to use it. I don't know if I'm supposed to keep the 'keep urls' check-marked or not or anything.
Any other ideas? I really am getting sick of this trying to force me to the opensuse.org site every time I open Konqueror.
Really:
Settings -> Save View Profile "Web Browsing..." -> check "Save URLs in Profile" and hit save. Works fine here.
Yeah, "really". It's just the opposite. One needs to *uncheck* the 'save URLs' thing to rid themselves of the forced-on-us site, *then* it "works fine". Like I said, it's not very clear and about the only thing in konqueror that I don't consider intuitive. I've also never before had to do anything like this until 10.3 (I went from 9.3 to 10.3 without upgrading to any of those in between, so I don't know if it did this on those others). But it's solved, so thanks to everyone. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
