For those that have downloaded 9.0 via ftp..how long does it usually take? Varies I know depending upon size of course...
I "mirrored" the complete 9.0 including sources via a nice lill script i picked from this list: #!/bin/sh # This script is to download SuSE 9.0 FTP version wget -t 0 -m -nH -c --cut-dirs=5 -R "*.src.rpm" ftp://ftp.sunet.se/pub/Linux/distributions/suse/suse/i386/9.0/* I did this over my ADSL 8000 line.. 800 kb up 8000 kb down. The whole shabang took some 216 minutes or so... So if you have a very fast line its no problem. I DID get SuSE 8.2 over a 512 K line.. THAT took little over two days.. So the bandwidth is crucial... If you have the opportunity.. Get the box!
