I use ntfsprogs and ntfsprogs-fuse. After installing those packages, as root, modprobe fuse mount -t ntfs-fuse -rw /mnt I added the following line to my fstab /dev/hda2 /windows/C ntfs-fuse rw,user,noauto,umask=000 0 0 and the line modprobe fuse to my boot.local. I need to be root for mounting and unmounting, however I can access the partition as user with rw permissions. I hope thi can be useful for you. Francesco Dennis J. Tuchler wrote:

Hi all, I had somebody tell me that there's a new tool on the Ubuntu that lets you create new files on an NFTS partition. I haven't read anything about the tools being that developed (the most that I've heard is that you can edit existing files, but not create new ones). Does anybody know if this is possible at this time?
Yes.

Is there one of these for Open SuSE?
