Hi List, last week I did an upgrade 11.2->11.4, and now I'm sorting out the glitches created by that. One of them is that XMMS is no longer available :-(( So I looked at audacious, which seems fine. But it fails on my non-ASCII playlists, claiming they are not UTF-8. But they are: snoopy:00-Index% find /home/MP3/Ace_of_Base/The_Bridge/ -type f > ../test.m3u snoopy:00-Index% file ../test.m3u ../test.m3u: UTF-8 Unicode text And things are fine in the file system: snoopy:00-Index% l /home/MP3/Ace_of_Base/The_Bridge/My_Déja_Vu.ogg -rw-r--r-- 1 pit users 4957084 Feb 26 2004 /home/MP3/Ace_of_Base/The_Bridge/My_Déja_Vu.ogg This is the file audacious is complaining about. I even get 4(!) popup-windows complaining about that file (better don't ask what happened when I had first tried to load my old xmms playlist....) So I went to Preferences->Playlist, set auto character detector for 'Universal' with fallback 'UTF-8', but nothing changes. WTF? Any ideas what to do? Or recomendations for an resonable replacement for xmms?
