Can we use photos under the Creative Commons Attribution License?
http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.0/
It allows all use as long as we give attribution (by a tag in the
corner I would guess). Although explicit permission from author would
still be better obviously.

I would think that any good pictures of lizards, (with copyright release), would be welcome.
Yes. Always. Please send them to us, to this list, to the wiki. If the pictures are yours, please choose a license that allows us to use it, if you find them elsewhere, check the license first, so that we don't have to drool over shiny dragons which we can't use ;-)
We will choose the picture for beta1 on Monday afternoon. Please submit your pictures to
http://www.opensuse.org/LizardPictures
The deadline is Monday, January 16, 12 pm (noon) CET. The species chosen will determine the code name for the whole 10.1 release, but we will use different pictures for each beta.
I'll go to the Nuremberg zoo this weekend as well to make sure that beta1 will have a picture, but I'd be glad if we could use something submitted by the opensuse community.
So, take your cameras and go hunt lizards...
cheers,
Sonja
