Well it seems that boot.scsidev was mounting root rw before boot.device-mapper which then failed. I have removed boot.scsidev from the boot sequence and things appear fine. I noticed that /proc/mounts and mount gave different results partitions that mount said were mounted were not. Does anyone know when there was a change to boot.scsidev or boot.device-mapper that might have created this conflict? -- Collector of vintage computers http://www.ncf.ca/~ba600 Machines to trade http://www.ncf.ca/~ba600/trade.html Open Source Weekend http://www.osw.ca
