I'm running into a couple of strange problems, and since I'm fairly new to Linux, I thought I'd beg for some help. I have installed 6.3 4 times at home, and each time I get different error messages (or system strangeness) during startup. Everything seems to work in a general way, but I've got some specific problems. The most common (and the current) problem is that during the bootup, I get a message saying something along the lines of insmod serial.o can't find char major-4, or at least that is in the warn file. I can't figure out what's causing this to happen, nothing appears in the modules.conf, and I had to make a like between /lib/modules/2.2.10 and /lib/modules/2.2.13 for thing to get this far. I haven't heard of anyone having problems like this, and frankly, the same CD's worked wonderfully on my laptop, which just screams along without a hitch (well, as screaming as a 133 can, but anyway). Frankly, I'd suspiscion that I'm not setting something up correctly, but for the life of me I can't guess what it is... Any Guesses, or information that would help formulate a guess? Thanks in advance...
