I just fought a problem caused by last nights upgrade via YOU to the latest KDE3.02 with KPPP. I had to add a file, /etc/ppp/peers/kppp, with "plugin passwordfd" as its contents to get kppp to work again. I would suggest you check /etc/ppp/peers/wvdial and make sure it has a reference to this plugin. Alternatively to wvdial, use kppp. HTH
