I may have tried /etc/fetchmailrc when first trying to setup to start via
systemd.
IIRC that would start fetchmail but without verbose logging and timestamps.
I encountered some very rude comments when I attempted to add options such as verbose So, I said, "nice meeting you" and accepted starting fetchmail manually. Until now I saw no real need to try again.
fwiw: I run fetchmail from ~/.bashrc as
if ! (pidof fetchmail) ; then fetchmail -d 150

Interesting. But am I correct in tending to believe that logrotate only works on systemd controlled stuff? joe a.
