Before I submit this as a bug I thought I would run it by those of you who know something about 3D and Nvidia card configuaration. I have a PCI-E GeFoce 6500 which reports as having 512MB of RAM. VBIOS 05.44.02.49.00 I have installed two RPMS from NVIDIA that are Driver Version 100.14.19 Released 9/18/2007. The drivers work properly but when I go into YaST -> Hardware -> Graphics Card and Monitor setup it reports back as: 3D Acceleration Not Supported --------------------------------------------- SaX2 cannot offer activation of the 3D subsystem because your graphics card/driver doesn't support 3D. However, when I try using 3D programs they are all working properly and even glxgears seems be doing quite well. I haven't run glxinfo as yet. My conclusion is that YaST is simply not reporting accurately the true state of the card. This is the first machine I have had this happen on. I have installed on dozens of machines SUSE with no such issue surfacing. Do I bug report this or am I missing something?
