Hi everyone, I installed a adaptec scsi card so i can use my old zip 250 external scsi drive, but I'm having some troubles.(8.1) When i installed the card, and configured the hardware, i checked a check box that had something to do with loading the SCSI module at boot time, I don't know if this is contributing to my problems ... From info I found in the archives, I added a mount point and the information to fstab, but sometimes when i click on the zip icon on the kde desktop i get a message saying it is already mounted under the info in mtab. entry in fstab ... /dev/sda4 /media/zip vfat noauto, user,rw 0 0 entry in mtab... /dev/sda4 /media/zip vfat rw,noexec, nosuid, nodev, user=framau 0 0 What's the difference between mtab and fstab? Should my zip be in both? On the few occasions where the shortcut does open up konqueror, it sends me to http://navigation.realnames.com/resolver.dll?action=navigation&realname=file %3A&charset=iso-8859-1&providerid=180&fallbackuri=http%3A//www.google.com /search%3Fq%3Dfile%253A Any idea how this url got there? I thought maybe it was a konqueror issue but if I mount a floppy, cd, or my shared windows drive i go straight to the right directory. If I type in /media/zip I can see the contents of the zip, so it does work i just get sidetracked a little. Then if I try to umount it by right clicking the icon, umount isn't there. So I have to umount by hand. Any ideas on how to get the shortcut to work? Thanks in advance -- Franklin Maurer <nebbish@sprynet.com> Using SuSE 8.1.
