Hi, I already spent more than 5 hours fighting with CUPS... Server: I have SuSE 10.0 x86_64 box, with HP LJ5L attached to the parallel port. Locally the printer works just fine. I tried to share it with CUPS - made all the configs - allowed browsing, browse to @LOCAL, allow / for @LOCAL, etc. Client: Now, my 9.3 laptop can see the shared queue, but there is no way to print to it. I select firefox/print, select CUPS/laserjet5l, it closes the box ... and black hole - the job disapears. I can not see it in kprint job on the client, I can not see in cups queue (web UI) on the server. On the client, I can see the job in cups queue (web UI) with processing ... and it stays forever ... As suggested on #opensuse IRC, I tried with other program: konqi :) Same stuff - the job is created locally, but I can see it only trough web UI (localhost:631). I tried to delete the job from there, and the report is: client-error-forbidden. No networking problems, no firewalls involved. No entries in var/log/cups/ error and access log files, besides the regular ones for restarting the cups daemon, etc. and a bunch of HTTP access requests from localhost ... on both machines. Any ideas where to check next? -- Svetoslav Milenov (Sunny) Even the most advanced equipment in the hands of the ignorant is just a pile of scrap. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
