[opensuse] Your laptop battery is definitely broken

I have two installations of 42.3 on two different computers. Each tells me that the battery is probably broken, which is true enough. But the first requires me to press OK for the message to go away, whereas the second is a yellow notice which vanishes after a few seconds. What might cause the difference? I would rather not see the message as I am not about to do anything about the batteries, other than remove them altogether. But the yellow notice is better than the OK prompt.
