Yeah, it won't work. Samsung's printer drivers do not work with glibc-2.3.2. :(
Try using lprng/cups w/the linuxprinter drivers. This is the default setup from YaST. Choose ML-1000 if your printer is SPL (currently, all SPL printers use the same PPD).
Yeahhhhhhhhhh! That did it. Using the ML-1000 ppd under cups did it and I can now print. Thank you Jerry
