Make sure it is installed. Use yast to check whether it's installed or not. The gnome packages have their own group. Look in the directory /opt/gnome/bin. If you can't find gnome-session it's either because not all the packages were installed or you don't have "/opt/gnome/bin" in your PATH. Type $ echo $PATH to view your PATH and if it's not there add it in your startup script. I'm assuming your startup script is ".bashrc", using a text editor and add PATH=$PATH:/opt/gnome/bin I'm curious though, that entry is added by the system wide startup scripts by default ( at least when your shell is Bash.)
