Well, I deleted my reiser partition and re-created a new one (in yast - and did not format) large enough to hold the data on my partition before this problem occurred.
I then was able to run reiserfsck and repair the super block and all my data was recovered.
Make sure you have your partition data printed to paper and safely stored somewhere. Enoguh data to recreate the tables if damaged.
And your layout is complicated, I don't understand your setup.
Keeps backups.
Yes, keeping hard copy data of partitions and all necessary details is absolutely necessary... I've got to do that more regularly. My setup is not complicated at all. I have M$N on one HD attached to the mobo, a huge raid array (3ware) with 2 partitions: home and data. My linux partitions are on another single HD. The only irreplaceable data are on home and 'data' partitions. The only problem with backing up about 2TB of data is I need to get another set of drives and LVM or raid them to ~2TB as well. Seems too costly, but the alternative might be far costlier...
