Is anyone able to connect to Internet using a wireless modem through KNetworkManager in openSUSE 11.3 ? For the last two releases the only method I use is with wvdial. Please share your experience.
Can you be more specific as to the type of modem you are using?

I think KNetworkManager sort of drops the ball on that one. It provides a configuration menu, but then seems not to do anything with the information. There are no error messages in it's log. So it is hard to tell what it is unhappy with. Of course, perhaps it is just not implemented yet. I surely would like to know if it is expected that it should be working, or if support is known to be lacking. How are wou using wvdial with this device? Does any of the configuration from kNetworkManager get used? Or are you configuring wvdial by hand? -- Roger Oberholtzer OPQ Systems / Ramböll RST Ramböll Sverige AB Krukmakargatan 21 P.O.
