Hi, don't know if this is the correct forum, but I'll give it a try. I had a fully functional SuSE 8.0 installed on my computer, but was going to try to install ATI's drivers for my Radeon 8500 card - I'd like to fully exploit my hardware... I followed ATI's recipe for installing and configuring the driver; having done it already on a SuSE 8.1 install I felt certain that it would at least function equally well as before at least in 2D (3D apps tended to crash after a couple of minutes). However, after configuring the driver and restarting my X server, my mouse malfunctioned. The mouse pointer was situated in the middle of the screen when the X server started and the login window appeared; however, as soon as I even touched the mouse, the mouse pointer flashed and raced up in the upper right corner of the screen. My mouse, btw, is a PS2 Logitech Mouseman (4 buttons, no wheel). Any hints as to how to fix the problem, or even how to uninstall the ATI display drivers and revert to my functioning Xfree-setup?? Thanks, Magnar Olsen Trondheim, Norway.
