Dear Magnus Hagebris and List,
I also use two banks of Belkin Omni View SE4-port KVM switches. My first bank
is quite stable
and has no problem with losing mouse control. However, the second bank (one
SuSE Box running
6.4/7.1/7.2/7.3/8.0 and one Win98 box) is quite unpredictable. Some days it
works fine and other days
looses mouse control after only a few minutes. Both boxes on the second bank
lose mouse control,
though not always at the same time, so OS does not seem to be the primary
issue. When the second
bank boxes lose mouse control, I sometimes run a separate mouse directly to one
of the boxes until
the system settles down. Such is life in the Belkin world I guess. :--)
Respectfully,
Ken Becker

The only way I can stablize the mouse is if I return to YAST 2 and try to re-configure the mouse when it is a problem... Otherwise I have been rebooting to get the mouse stability.
This seems to be an *intermittant* problem for me, too. I usually just > ctrl-alt-Fx before I switch from my linux box, and alt-F7 when I switch > back., and everything is fine.
