Yeah, we did a quick survey here in the office (well, in everyone's home
office), and every laptop or desktop has write cache enabled.

They are not specifically made for raid - WDC
used to have a series
called "RAID edition", but I think they've stopped that.
They usually have different default settings (well known recovery
timeout as example) and may have better quality control.
We used to buy Hitachi Ultrastar, then WDC RE for a while, but we have
long given up and just make sure we buy 24/7 drives.
