the new release of xorg is out...
we can get it here: ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/supplementary/X/Xorg/Xorg-X11R6.8. 2/i386/s use92
i tried to add a new media in yast
i choose ftp, typed: ftp.suse.com for the ftp server and: pub/suse/i386/supplementary/X/Xorg/Xorg-X11R6.8.2/i386/suse92 for the folder...
but yast don't accept that... are there any way to do the update of xorg via yast?
Don'e forget to use latest development SaX2 for configuration:
ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/supplementary/X/SaX2/

If you can get it to work Fred. I've had to keep an earlier version handy for sax2, as the last two releases, one in Jan & the Feb release, with the same version/build numbers by the way, would error out and put my monitor into a suspend state. Dropping down to init 3 and running sax2 comes up with this error: sh: line1: 16xxx Aborted /usr/X11R6/lib/sax/sysp.pl -s 3d then sax startup and no video signal. I can drop back to the Dec build, same version/build number and not have any problems. The changlelog shows fixes, etc in the latest available uploaded in this month, but it's a mystery to me why there's no change in the build number nor why they went backwards with the perl-TermReadLine-Gnu rpm (1.14.2 to 1.14.1-1). Just be sure to have an earlier version to fall back too, should you install these! regards, Lee -- --- KMail v1.7.2 --- SuSE Linux Pro v9.2 --- Registered Linux User #225206 "Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on or by imbeciles who really mean it." ...Mark Twain
