Can you ping download.opensuse.org? ping6 download.opensuse.org ?
ping works fine on the first url, with the second the response is "unknown host"
OK, so you can definitely reach the repo server. The ping6 failure probably only means you do not have IPv6 configured on your system, as download.opensuse.org certainly does have an IPv6 address. This means that jdd's suggestion, or something similar, is likely correct. I suggest you fire up Yast/Software repositories, and temporarily disable all online repositories -- just leave the local installation medium active. Then, fire up Yast/Software Management and search for everything that depends on libzypp. Everything that is installed (here there are 8 packages, default installation) likely needs to be /forcibly/ refreshed. Once you have done that, re-enable the online repositories and try again to connect to them. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
