I've upgraded from SUSE 7.1 to 9.0 I was using logrotate 3.3, but things seems to changed in the version supplied with 9.0, and my .conf file doesn't seem to work. Looking at man I can't see why there is a problem. Can anyone help? Here is the first part of the .conf file to the section to where it blows out: # see "man logrotate" for details # rotate log files daily daily # keep 28 days worth of backlogs rotate 28 # send deleted files to alan # mail alan@ibgames.com mail alan # fed2 logfiles /var/opt/fed2d/log/fed2.log { olddir /var/opt/fed2d/backup/logs copytruncate } Errors shown using the -d parameter: reading config file /var/opt/fed2d/logrotate.conf reading config info for /var/opt/fed2d/log/fed2.log olddir is now /var/opt/fed2d/backup/logs error: /var/opt/fed2d/logrotate.conf:16 error verifying olddir path /var/opt/fed2d/log//var/opt/fed2d/backup/logs: No such file or directory /var/opt/fed2d/backup/logs does exist, and this run was done as root to rule out file permission problems. Any help or pointers to what I'm doing wrong gratefully accepted.
