Hi, I normally fork out the money and do a fresh install from scratch. This does two things for me: 1). Forces me to Archive old junk to a CD and gives me more HDD space. 2). Gives me a nice clean base to work with and load whatever I need. I don't normally like upgrades, they just sometimes seem to cause more issues then they are worth... ...I must however point out that I have never performed a SuSE Upgrade so I am talking under correction. Hi,
I have been considering upgrading to 7.3 since it was released, but as I have a 7.0 system that has been heavily upgraded using mainly source packages I am wondering if it is worth it. The only package that I would like to upgrade, but cannot find any information about doing is libc. Can this easily be upgraded, and if not, can it be upgraded at all? Or should I just fork out the cash and spend a weekend re-installing the bits I've added myself?
Cheers, Tom
