I once did/tried that (for PXE) by changing the xml configuration files and building the appropriate rootfs image again... (I have a local copy of the repos)
Did work, but an official (and smoother) way is clearly preferable.

Adding some repos and a list of packages is easy with a script that calls zypper. But you have to take careful notes when you install the first machine to create the script. I don't remember if there is a command equivalent to the yast "switch sytem packages to this repo", perhaps something like "zypper dup from". -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R.
