I just installed OS 12.1. everytime I boot into KDM and try to access my account the login fails. I type my password, press enter and the background of the login and password field turns light red for a few seconds. The password is cleared, I enter my password again and I can get in.
Anybody else seeing this?
Yes, I think I have seen this too.
It's a known bug, you need to type the second letter in your password twice but only the first login after any restart of kdm.
Known bug equals to reported bug? What's the (upstream KDE) bug ID?
Yeah. I know the feeling. You sometimes think it's just you having the problem! It's driving us crazy here too. Everyone gets to three 'blobs' when typing in their password and then kdm will accept no more. But you don't look at the screen and you don't know it's not accepting the characters you type so you hit 'Enter'. The fields go pink and you have to re-enter your password. Ahhggh! Can't spend much time but I can't find a bug for this. L x -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
