This is quite an odd case... I'm stumped ATM, I need to think about it for a bit. Hopefully one of the postfix geniuses (Sandy?) will see something I'm missing. We're both running SLES 10 and bioth running the vendor-supplied postfix package, except that yours is x86_64, and mine is the i386 version. I'll have to poke around the 64-bit mail server when I get back to work tomorrow.
