Hi to all. SuSE Linux 7.3 Personal: Applications book: chapter 5: Faxing with Linux Will someone be so kind as to stop my head from spinning and point it in the right direction? "...if you plan to use your Linux machine for faxing: ... Install the HylaFax fax server." Question: How does one do that? YaST2 can't find HylaFax (with or without capital letters) on any one of the CD's. "...Install the Java Developers Kit along with package /susefax/..." Question: How does one do that? YaST2 can't find JDK on any one of the CD's. "...install package /susefax/ and copy everything from /usr/lib/SuSEFax..." Question: How does one do that? YaST2 can't find /susefax/ on any of the CD's. There's no /SuSEFax in /usr/lib. Begin of rant. The ability to fax **well** (that is, **preserving** all the type styles on the original document is the _/only/_ reason for my keeping W'98. I have a 3rd-party application (HotFax Message center) which does it beautifully: from within Word (or MSWorks) I /print/ to HotFax, and there it goes. End of rant.
