http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/apt/SuSE/9.1-i386/RPMS.suser-ollakka/ has 27 rpms. Where do I start? Do I do them all?
That's what I did - Tossed them in a directory, rpm -Uvh *.rpm
It complained about one dependency (gtk2-services) but that was easy to get via apt. After that, I ran SuSEconfig & ldconfig (as root), logged out of KDE, and xfce was a new menu option on the logon menu.
Not for me. :-( It complained about 3 missing packages. I installed those with YaST, then did rpm -Uvh *rpm. That seemed to run without complaint, as did SuSEconfig and ldconfig afterward. However, no XFCE in the KDM menu, even after reboot, only: Default Custom FVWM KDE TWM Windowmaker admin Failsafe Now what do I do? -- "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord."
