With that endorsement I had to try it out. It's FAST. Wow.
Question - I seem to have 2 taskbars on the bottom now, one from KDE3 one from Plasma ?

I need to have a handy answer for this anyway.
~/.config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc Per, From what I can read the problem is the plasma panel is being started which reads it's config and creates the panel on the current desktop. I will have to load my drive with plasma on it to figure out what causes it to launch and where to turn it off. The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is that something in your current /usr/lib/systemd/system/display-manager.service is launching parts of plasma by default. Hopefully someone more familiar with opensuse plasma startup can chime in and help us out. -- David C.
