Mmm. If you want really global filtering, then you should have a look at the spamassassin page for guidance. It was designed for a "per user" setup, and it loads heavily the computer. But they have sugestion for that.
Therefore, i have to change the spam file to user:group ownership manually, just once, only in the beginning.
Unless the user deletes it.

No, it is not an expansion, it is independent. It should work with anything.
Whata about solaris procmail+sendmail?
