Maybe I needed to do something else after changing the /etc/modules.conf file? Restart or something? Nothing else was specified in the help file from SuSE's database though.
As I remember, it was an IPV6 issue in the firewall, so after making the change in modules.conf, SuSEfirewall2 stop, then SuSEfirewall2 start. HTH. BTW, I don't have 9.0, so the commands may have changed.

Thanks Joe, That was the thing I had read also tracking this down. Tried it again today adding your suggestions with the same result. Mozilla just disappears when being used. Mozilla mail does the same thing when trying to read mails. Wonder what Thunderbird would do? Can the Mozilla mail settings & folders, etc be moved over to Tbird? Might have to try that.
