I am running Suse 7.2. My problem is that as soon as the computer boots up (it was running for a week before it got booted again) it loads the kernel then goes into init 0 and shuts down. I can override this in lilo by booting with "linux init 3 " but what is the problem
Thanks Ray Booysen
Ouch. Try editing /etc/inittab and see what the line that reads something like: id:3:initdefault: says. 3 is text based login, 5 is graphical login. Eager to show off this amazing accomplishment, he asked a friend to go along on his next hunting trip. Saying nothing, he fired his first shot and, as the duck fell, the dog walked on the surface of the water, retrieved the duck and returned it to his master. "Notice anything?" the owner asked eagerly. "Yes," said his friend, "I see that fool dog of yours can't swim."
