No, there is no repository priority functionality in openSUSE 10.3

Hi, on my openSUSE 10.3 I upgraded to Firefox 3.0.13 in preference to 3.5.x by simply selecting it under the Versions tab in the right-hand lower pane in YaST.
In YaST, select a repo in the left column, select Firefox in the top right pane, and look down across the tabs in the lower right pane - Description, Technical Data, Dependencies, etc., and select Versions. Click the radio button for the version you want.
YaST complained about dependencies to me but up/downgrading of related Mozilla apps solved it. There is also a legacy Mozilla repo for openSUSE 10.3 - a search here will find it: http://packages.opensuse-community.org/.
Hope this helps, M.R.
Are you saying you changed from Firefox 3.5.x to 3.0.x? I suppose I could do that, but I prefer to keep 3.5.x. It probably makes little difference, I plan to update this machine soon. I was going to update it to opensuse 11.1, but decided to wait until 11.2 is final and out. So, I guess I can live with the little red triangle staring at me for a few more months. Thanks though.
Jim F I see your problem now. No, I didn't feel like upgrading to 3.5 just yet but did upgrade to 3.0.13 because of a security advisory from Mozilla. M.R. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
